Pulau Aur

Isolated, being the island furthest away from the coast of the peninsular, Pulau Aur has been for many years home to about two hundred inhabitants who live off the sea. Pulau Aur is 70 km away from Mersing. Completely exposed to the winds fo the South China Sea, the rocky coastline is a haven for lobsters.

 

 

Pulau Pemanggil

Teluk Lancang, an isolated bay on the north-eastern coast of Pulau Pemanggil. Coconut trees grow with abundant amidst the tropical vegetation along the coast. Picturesque reef-bordered coastline of Pulau Pemanggil as viewed from the north. Most of the 250 inhabitants live in Kampung Pontianak, the largest settelment on the island. Kampung Buau and Kampung Pak Kalih are visible in the background. The jetty at Kampung Pontianak seerves as an entry-point for visitors lired byits beauty, The warm and friendly villages offer modest comfort for those eager to spend a few days among the rustic surroundings. Towering majestically in the heart of Pulau Pemanggil, the island of alluring beauty, is a huge boulder known locally as Batu Buau, regarded as the sacred guardian of the island. On a clear day, this landmark is clearly visible from the south of Pulau Tioman which is 50 km away.

Pulau Besar

One of the largest islands off the coast of Johor. Several long stretches of beach with fine, soft white sand fringe the island. A place irresistible to those who seek tranquility amidst the charm of a village setting.

 

 

 

Pulau Tinggi

The highest point on Pulau Tinggi is the Pulau Tinggi Peak which stands at 600 metres above sea level. The peak os symmetrical with steep sides thickly forested. The island of Pulau Tinggi lies 30 kilometers south-west of Mersing. There is a turtle hatchery located at Kampung Sebirah on the island.

 

 

Pulau Sibu

Pulau Sibu is perhaps the most fascinating island of Johor. Unspoilt, it is a dream island waiting to be explored Fringed bybeautiful corals and white sandy beaches, this is the ultimate paradise for the travellerseeking solitude.
